A U.S. Reconnaissance Marine with 3rd Force Reconnaissance Company, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, advises Peruvian commandos during urban operations training as part of exercise Resolute Sentinel 24 at Base Naval De Infanteria De Marina, Lima, Peru, June 6, 2024. The commandos practiced using smoke and flash grenades to mimic close contact engagements in urban combat environments, enhancing their readiness and tactical skills. RS24 is a U.S. Southern Command sponsored exercise that consists of comprehensive joint training opportunities aimed at enhancing regional security and interoperability among the United States, France, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, and Brazil.
