Soldiers of the 593d Expeditionary Sustainment Command attended the Thompson Early Learning Center End of Year Touch-a-Truck event, June 12, 2024, in Tacoma, Washington. Soldiers on the Rest Assured team drove a convoy consisting of a palletized load system, 5K forklift, field litter ambulance, high mobility multipurpose wheeled vehicle, and military line-haul tractor truck, to the event for a static display, showing preschool students the equipment that Soldiers within their community, including some of the children's parents, use on a day-to-day basis. The 593d ESC is aligned with the city of Tacoma and Thompson Elementary School through the Joint Base Lewis-McChord Community Connector program which creates opportunities for the Rest Assured team to focus on all aspects of service, on and off the installation.
