A U.S. Marine with 3rd Force Reconnaissance Company, 4th Marine Division, Marine Forces Reserve, fires an Uzi submachine gun during exercise Resolute Sentinel 24 at Base Naval De Infanteria De Marina, Lima, Peru, June 6, 2024. The Marines participated in a training course for Peruvian commandos, using their standard-issue weapons, to integrate forces and build camaraderie. RS24 is a U.S. Southern Command sponsored exercise that consists of comprehensive joint training opportunities aimed at enhancing regional security and interoperability among the United States, France, Peru, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile, and Brazil.
