Builder 2nd Class Zak Kennedy and Utilitiesman 2nd Class Noah Forrider of CTU 75.5.7 (Underwater Construction Team TWO) repair damage to the quay wall at Malakal Port, Palau during Exercise Valiant Shield 2024. Underwater Construction Team TWO is conducting repairs to enhance the primary commercial port in Palau and extend the lifespan of the Island Nation’s critical infrastructure. Exercises such as Valiant Shield allow the Indo-Pacific Command Joint Forces the opportunity to integrate forces from all branches of service and with our allies to conduct precise, lethal, and overwhelming multi-axis, multi-domain effects that demonstrate the strength and versatility of the Joint Force and our commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific.
