U.S. Marines and Sailors with the Wasp (WSP) Amphibious Ready Group (ARG)-24th Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) Special Operations Capable (SOC), load supplies onto an MV-22B Osprey tiltrotor aircraft with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 365, 24th MEU (SOC), to establish a forward base of operations in Sweden during Baltic Operations (BALTOPS) 24 while underway in the Atlantic Ocean, June 9, 2024. BALTOPS 24 is the premier maritime-focused exercise in the Baltic Region. The exercise, led by U.S. Naval Forces Europe-Africa and Executed by Naval Striking and Support Forces NATO, provides a unique training opportunity to strengthen combined response capabilities critical to preserving freedom of navigation and security in the Baltic Sea.
