040624-N-TI567-1005 STENNIS SPACE CENTER, Miss. -- Senior level officers participating in the Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School's (NAVSCIATTS) Strategic Leaders International Course (SLIC) exchange their defense and law enforcement roles for the role of criminal in a practical exercise about poaching black rhinos in South Africa.
The officers, representing Colombia, Central African Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Hungary, Iraq, Jamaica, Lebanon, Malawi, Oman, Mexico, Nigeria, Paraguay, Panama, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Thailand, and Uruguay, performed the role of "red cell" during SLIC's technology module of instruction, led by Mr. Anthony Piazza from CORVO Studio.
Red Cell exercises are typically used by militaries and law enforcement agencies to test the effectiveness of security measures by simulating the tactics and techniques of criminal organizations or hostile forces. These exercises assist in the identification of vulnerabilities, assess responses, and improve overall preparedness and effectiveness in addressing potential threats.
SLIC is a four-week in-resident course designed to build partner capacity by offering senior military leaders (05-07 level) and senior government officials of partner nations new perspectives, methodologies, and opportunities for thinking strategically and for designing strategies that successfully address complex challenges.
