    31st Marine Expeditionary Unit

U.S. Marine Corps Pfc. Bookmichae Robert a bulk fuel specialist with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron 262 (rein.), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, runs a fuel line to a fuel pump during a forward arming and refueling point exercise at Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, May 23, 2024. A FARP extends the capabilities of rotary or fixed-wing aircraft to allow rearming and refueling of the aircraft without having to return to a forward operating base. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific Region.
