Pedal power promoted…With Naval Hospital Bremerton’s Health Promotion and Wellness Center leading the way, the command recognized May 2024 as National Bike Month, Bike to Work Week for May 13-19, 2024, and Bike to Work Day for May 17, combining all with a bike safety demonstration provided by Darryl Escamilla, Ophthalmology Clinic medical support assistant. As Patricia Skinner takes a training spin, Escamilla goes over potential cycling maintenance needs which every rider should consider, such as tire wear and tear, seat, and handlebar adjustment, ensuring there’s no damage to brake cables, tire spokes and more.
