U.S. Army Soldier Spc. Ernell McCray, a participant in the Best Squad Competition with the MEDAC Fort Sill team, fires at a target in the standing unsupported position as a requirement for the marksmanship portion of the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge on Camp Bullis, Texas, May 15, 2024. Spc. McCray hit 14 of 14 targets and received a gold badge at this event. Both Medical Readiness Command, West and the U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence host a joint week-long competition at Fort Sam Houston and Camp Bullis, giving the Soldiers the ability to qualify for the Expert Field Medical Badge and the German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge.
