Soldiers and Family members assigned with the 11th Air Defense Artillery Brigade observe a MIM-104 Patriot Surface-to-Air Missile System fire interceptors at simulated drone targets during a combined live-fire exercise with members of the Netherlands Armed Forces at McGregor Range, N.M., May 11, 2024. The open-to-the-public event allowed Soldiers and Families to spend time together and take part in several family-focused events led by the command's Soldier and Family Readiness Group. The Patriot system is the U.S. Army's most advanced air defense system, capable of defeating both high performance aircraft and tactical ballistic missiles.
