U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Troy Savageau, a digital forensic examiner with the Multi-Domain Exploitation Team, 1st Intelligence Battalion, conducts a process to expose a fingerprint using a Forensics Dominance System - Marine Corps during an MDET demonstration as part of Exercise Balikatan 24 at Camp Aguinaldo, Manila, Philippines, May 2, 2024. The MDET is a highly mobile forensics unit able to process fingerprints, fluids, and electronics recovered in the field almost anywhere. Their findings are then sent to an intelligence center for exploitation. BK 24 is an annual exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the U.S. military designed to strengthen bilateral interoperability, capabilities, trust, and cooperation built over decades of shared experiences.
