A Dolphin helicopter and 44' motor lifeboat rescue an unfortunate boater in heavy seas and stormy weather off the coast of Long Island, New York. The artist recreated the scene after seeing news footage of the event. "I am always amazed at boaters who go out in stormy seas assuming they will be okay, that the warnings are for the other guys," the artist notes. "However, when disasters occur, the Coast Guard comes to the rescue, often in conditions in which no one should be out."
