The smiling image of U.S. Army Staff Sgt. Carletta S. Davis that adorns the entrance to the clinic would, "welcome patients to one of the best level II medical facilities in Iraq," Lt. Col. Joseph R. Novack, Jr., Brigade Support Battalion commander said at a dedication and naming ceremony of the Davis Combat Clinic at Forward Operating Base, Kirkuk, April 6. The clinic was named in honor of Davis from Charlie Company, 10th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division. She was killed by an improvised explosive device, Nov. 5, 2007, south of Kirkuk. Iraq.
