ATLANTIC OCEAN (April 29, 2024) – A U.S. Coast Guard helicopter lowers personnel onto the merchant vessel Grande Portogallo to assist the guided-missile destroyer USS Stout (DDG 55) in response to a call for medical aid for an injured crew member. Stout is currently operating as part of CSG-8 for Group Sail, a weeklong exercise combining multiple Navy ships, led by the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier.
