Soldiers from the 77th Combat Aviation Brigade of the Arkansas Army National Guard prepare for the start horn of the ruck event in the 2024 Best Warrior Competition at Camp Joseph T. Robinson, Ark., Jan. 7, 2024. Starting with a downhill sprint, the Soldiers were eager to get ahead in the beginning.
The 7-mile ruck march route is one of the most challenging on the base, with steep hills that will prove difficult to even the best.
