Brent Gaut, former commanding officer of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73), and Sailors assigned to the world’s largest aircraft carrier, USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78), stand a line handling detail for George Washington as it departs Naval Station Norfolk, April 25, 2024, for a deployment to the U.S. Southern Command area of operations as part of Southern Seas 2024.
