The Hadnot Point Water Treatment Facility stands on Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune North Carolina, April 17, 2024. The former plant, which uses a lime softening process to remove chemicals causing carbonate hardness, is scheduled to close and be replaced by a new water plant that would use nano membrane filters to remove contaminants.
