Utah Army National Guard Sgt. 1st Class Joseph Whaley, 97th Troop Command, gives range commands from the watchtower, April 6, 2024. Soldiers of the 97th Troop Command participated in a Field Training Exercise (FTX) at Camp Williams, Utah on April 5-7, 2024. Utah Army National Guardsmen attend FTX to qualify in marksmanship and receive specialized training. Regardless of Military Occupational Specialty, Guard members are expected to maintain their readiness in basic soldier tasks.
