Sgt. Vlajko Popovic, Serbian Armed Forces, receives the award for the 2024 Ohio Army National Guard State Noncommissioned Officer of the Year Runner-Up at Camp James A. Garfield Joint Military Training Center in Newton Falls, Ohio, April 7, 2024. The 2024 Ohio Army National Guard State Best Warrior Competition saw Soldiers from across the OHARNG compete against each other as well as members of the Serbian Armed Forces and Hungarian Defense Forces in a myriad of technical and tactical challenges over three days in inclement weather conditions.
