Alan Jaeger (right), Naval Surface Warfare Center, Port Hueneme Division (NSWC PHD) Office of Research and Technology Applications manager, shows a student from De Anza Academy of Technology & the Arts in Ventura how to fly a quadcopter drone, provided by the naval command, that the students assembled during a STEM-inspired event that Camarillo, California-based Matter Labs hosted March 21 at Fathomwerx Lab. Along with Matter Labs, NSWC PHD, located in Port Hueneme, California, is one of the founding partners of the lab that opened in 2019 at the Port of Hueneme. The lab includes a nearly 40-foot-tall indoor drone cage.
