The Beitna Foundation for Culture, Arts, and Heritage is bringing back cinema in Bashiqa. With support from USAID, the foundation re-opened a modern cinema in Bashiqa, which was the first of its kind in Ninewa. “I've never seen a screen this large before, and I've only heard about cinemas from watching cartoon movies,” shared Oulin, a young girl who attended a film screening. “I hope that this cinema will remain in our village, as it is a suitable place for all ages.
USAID affirms its dedication to providing means of entertainment for youth that also establish positive connections and create economic opportunities.
