U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Andre Byrd, a motor vehicle operator with Combat Logistics Battalion 6, II Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force (II MEF) offloads a Norwegian Bandvagn 206 used during Nordic Response 24 from the Samskip Kvitnos, a Norwegian cargo ship, at Muruvik Port, Norway, April 9, 2024. After the conclusion of Exercise Nordic Response 24, II MEF personnel stayed in Norway to maintain, manage and return equipment used during the exercise to various storage facilities across Norway through the Marine Corps Pre-positioning Program – Norway (MCPP-N). MCPP-N stores and maintains various types of equipment, and supplies in strategic locations across Norway keeping Marines prepared for any crisis in Europe and Africa.
