U.S. exercise planners and French leaders celebrate after French pilots landed on fiber-reinforced polymer matting during airfield damage repair Exercise RAZORBACK, in Grostenquin, France, Apr 1, 2024. The bilateral exercise between U.S. and French forces involved crater repair with crushed stone backfill and installation of an FRP airfield damage repair method, which demonstrated their ability to rapidly repair airfields, contributing to ready and postured forces.
