Forward-deployed U.S. service members compete in the 60-meter race during Camp Lemonnier’s 2024 Captain’s Cup, April 5, 2024, at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti. The biannual Captain’s Cup is a friendly competition between CLDJ and tenant command teams. Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) leads the event. Camp Lemonnier is an operational installation that enables U.S., allied and partner nation forces to be where they are needed to ensure security and protect U.S. interests. The installation provides world-class support for service members, transient U.S. assets and 38 local tenant commands to operate within the Horn of Africa.
