Nicole Jacocks pursued her dream of becoming a nurse by enlisting as a Corpsman in the active-duty Navy only months before the tragic events of September 11, 2001. Nearly 23 years later, Jacocks, a nurse at VA Tennessee Valley Healthcare System, commissioned as a nursing officer in the Air Force Reserve to reaffirm her commitment to serving others.
