ANNAPOLIS, Md. (April. 02, 2024) – Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro signed the Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month Proclamation 2024 at the United States Naval Academy, April 02, 2024. Beginning in 2001, the National Sexual Violence Resources Center campaigned for a month to be dedicated to Sexual Assault Awareness, annually a Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month proclamation is signed by the Commanding Officer of each base or unit, across the Armed Forces.
