Staff Sgt. Justin Elkins, a UH-72 “Lakota” aircraft mechanic and crew chief with the 2nd Battalion, 151st Aviation, participates in an aerial surveillance flight during migration support missions in southern Fla., April 2, 2024. The Florida Army National Guard continues to provide daily search and rescue capabilities throughout the southern coastline. Guardsmen further demonstrate readiness by maintaining joint operations with other entities such as the U.S. Coast Guard and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in order to ensure safety and security.
