Chief Warrant Officer Thomas Golden, Joint Forces Headquarters Forward, Georgia National Guard, received the U.S. flag from Col. Peter Baker, the 214th Fires Brigade commander during a flag-raising ceremony, March 22. More than 150 U.S. Soldiers and civilians attended the flag-raising ceremony at Forward Operating Base Delta, Iraq, March 22. The flag laid on the grounds of a Georgia apartment complex for almost a week in February until it was rescued by Dan Turner, a passerby, who sent it to Golden to have its honor restored.
