A Louisiana National Guard UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter from the 1st Assault Helicopter Battalion, 244th Aviation Regiment lowers a bundle of recycled Christmas trees into Bayou Sauvage during the annual Christmas Tree Drop in New Orleans, March 20, 2024. The trees will create a wave break to trap sediment and restore marshland as part of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service program.
