Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Maj. Gen. Hajime Kitajima, the commanding general of the Amphibious Rapid Deployment Brigade, presents a gift to U.S. Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Trevor Hall, the commanding general of the3rd Marine Expeditionary Brigade, during the Iron Fist 24 victory party on Camp Courtney, Okinawa, Japan, March 15, 2024. The party was held to commemorate the ending of the exercise and afforded the service members a chance to build camaraderie through sharing a meal and playing various games together. Iron Fist is an annual bilateral exercise designed to increase interoperability and strengthen the relationships between U.S. Marine Corps, the U.S. Navy, the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force.
