    Tammy and Clinton L. Romesha at their wedding in February 2000. Tammy was actually still in high school and Romesha had just graduated from Basic Training. He calls her his moral compass, and said that without her strength, support and independence, he wouldn't have been able to concentrate on the battlefield enough to help save Combat Outpost Keating from being overrun by about 300 insurgents on Oct. 3, 2009.
