Thai Msgt1. Baworn Phromphaeng, a survival instructor assigned to 1st Infantry, Second Brigade, Queen’s Guard of the Royal Thai Army (RTA) requests volunteers from the crowd of U.S. infantrymen assigned to 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 7th Infantry Division, to practice escaping snakes during joint exercise Cobra Gold, at Sa Kaeo, Kingdom of Thailand, Mar. 2, 2024. Members of the RTA provide critical survival training to U.S. soldiers through instruction on how to recognize and safely subdue threats from endemic wildlife in a jungle environment as part of joint exercise Cobra Gold. Cobra Gold, now in its 43rd year, is a Thai-U.S. co-sponsored training event that builds on the long-standing friendship between the two allied nations and brings together a robust multinational force.
