U.S. Marines with 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, mark points on a map while participating in a land navigation course during Warrior Shield 24 at U.S. Army Garrison Yongsan-Casey, South Korea, Feb. 28, 2024. During the course, Marines with 9th ESB fostered survival skills in an austere mountain environment to improve force readiness. Warrior Shield 24 is an annual joint, combined exercise in the Republic of Korea that strengthens the combined defensive capabilities of ROK-U.S. Forces. This routine, regularly scheduled field training exercise provides the ROK-U.S. Marines the opportunity to rehearse combined operations, exchange knowledge, and demonstrate the strength and capability of the ROK-U.S. Alliance.
