Karen D. H. Saunders, SES, the program executive officer for the Army’s Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI), delivers opening remarks during the PEO STRI Women’s History Month observance in Orlando, Fla., on March 6. The highlight of this year’s observance included a panel discussion featuring female Army Soldiers and civilians from PEO STRI and the SFC Paul Ray Smith Simulation and Training Technology Center (STTC) working at various leadership levels to discuss their successes and challenges in the workforce. The 2024 national theme for Women’s History Month is “Women Who Have Made Great Achievements” and celebrates the women who have left an impact on the country through their sacrifices, public service, and inspirational work.
