Brian Walsh(left), Recruit Training Command deputy events coordinator, the oldest Seabee, and Ensign Lukas Kaiser, Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Mid-Atlantic construction manager, the youngest Seabee, cut the birthday cake during the 2024 Seabee Birthday Ceremony, celebrating 82 years of providing naval construction capabilities to the Fleet. Boot camp is approximately 10 weeks and all enlistees into the U.S. Navy begin their careers at the command. More than 40,000 recruits train annually at the Navy's only boot camp.
