U.S. Marines with 3rd Maintenance Battalion, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, prepare to retire the Engineer Maintenance Company (EMC) unit colors during the redesignation ceremony of Regional Maintenance Operations Company-South (RMOC-S) on Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan, March 1, 2024. RMOC-S consists of what was formerly EMC and Motor Transport Maintenance Company. By consolidating resources, streamlining processes, and enhancing interoperability, RMOC-S strengthens the Marine Corps’ ability to respond swiftly to any threat, and ensures the Marine Corps remains an agile, lethal, and expeditionary force, capable of operating in a distributed and contested environment.
