SAN DIEGO – Lt. Rolito Bernales, the chaplain assigned to Littoral Combat Ship Squadron ONE, speaks to Sailors during a Religious Ley Leadership (RLL) Training Course, Feb. 28. RLLs are all volunteers and provide spiritual accommodation in operational or isolated settings such as a deployment where a Chaplain is not embarked. Littoral Combat Ships are fast, optimally-manned, mission-tailored surface combatants that operate in near-shore and open-ocean environments, winning against 21st-century coastal threats.
