Maj. Gen. Rich Neely, the Adjutant General of Illinois and Commander of the Illinois National Guard, thanks Mike Holub, vice chair of the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve in Illinois, for Holub's ESGR update during the Illinois National Guard Senior Leaders Engagement at the 182nd Airlift Wing in Peoria on Feb. 23. The keynote speaker for the engagement was Professor Bert Tussing, the Director of Homeland Defense and Security Issues for the U.S. Army War College's Center for Strategic Leadership, who told the Illinois National Guard's senior leaders that "the next time we go to war, war will be coming to us" and the American public should be alerted to the fact that we are not invulnerable.
