MEDITERRANEAN SEA (Feb. 5, 2024) An AV-8B Harrier, attached to Marine Medium Tilt Rotor Squadron 162 (Reinforced), lands on the flight deck of the Wasp-class amphibious assault ship USS Bataan (LHD 5) in the Mediterranean Sea, Feb. 5. Bataan is on a scheduled deployment in the U.S. Naval Forces Europe area of operations, employed by U.S. 6th Fleet to defend U.S., allied and partner interests.
