Soldiers who were trained with the CRS-I, (Common Robotics System-Individual) robotic systems must assemble their robot, traverse and complete four different obstacle missions over a 100-yard course in order to be certified as trainers with the CRS-I. The robots are capable of operating in mud, snow, sand, and a variety of terrain types.
