U.S. Marines with 2nd Battalion, 4th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, put up camouflage netting during a movement to contact range as part of Service Level Training Exercise 2-24 at Marine Corps Air-Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, California, Feb. 7, 2024. The range is designed to enhance infantry small unit tactics and procedures when taking an enemy’s defensive line. The purpose of SLTE 2-24 is to simulate combat conditions, improve rapid decision-making cycles and strengthen the Marine Air-Ground Task Force’s ability to adapt and accomplish missions across the full range of military operations.
