A C-17 Globemaster III assigned to Charleston Air Force Base (AFB), South Carolina refuels an F-22 Raptor assigned to Elmendorf AFB, Alaska at Nellis AFB, Nevada, Feb. 2, 2024. The refueling was made possible by installing a boost pump, a refueling system that pushes gas from one plane’s main tank to another one’s engine.
