Spc. Chris Riley, a Washington, D.C., native, digs through a pile of palm leaves March 27 after getting a suspicious signal from a mine detector on a farm northwest of Baghdad during Operation Iron Curtain, a joint mission with Iraqi Army soldiers and U.S. Marines. Riley serves as a mine detection specialist with the 2nd Platoon, 66th Engineer Company, 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team "Warrior," 25th Infantry Division, Multi-National Division - Baghdad.
