Peck, a security forces member of the Zabul ADT deployed in September to Afghanistan for 12 months. For three days, the Mississippi ADT conducted veterinary training at the Qalat Nursery, an extension facility maintained by the Afghan Government Directorate of Irrigation, Agriculture and Livestock. Since arriving in Afghanistan in September 2012, the Mississippi ADT has worked with DAIL to provide quality training to extension agents as well as local farmers and herdsmen, supporting the advancement of improved agricultural practices in Zabul province.
