    U.S. Army Reserve Soldier Spc. Alexander Clark, of the 428 Engineer Company, opens a litter during Combat Lifesaver training course in Southfield, Michigan on Jan. 7, 2024. The Combat Lifesaver Course (CLS) in the United States Army is a program designed to train non-medical military personnel in life-saving techniques beyond basic first aid. It equips soldiers with skills to provide advanced medical care in combat situations where immediate access to medical professionals may be limited.The goal is to enhance the survivability of wounded soldiers by ensuring immediate medical attention and care in the field.
