U.S. Navy Capt. Jeffrey Feinberg, commanding officer of the hospital ship USNS Mercy (T-AH 19), speaks with Pacific Partnership and Civic Action Team Seabees at a community chicken coop constructed by the teams in Koror, Palau, as part of Pacific Partnership 2024-1, Jan. 5, 2024. The chicken coop is a proof-of-concept built by U.S. Navy Seabees and Civic Action Team members using recycled materials to promote enhanced self sustainability for Palau. Pacific Partnership, now in its 19th iteration, is the largest multinational humanitarian assistance and disaster relief preparedness mission conducted in the Indo-Pacific and works to enhance regional interoperability and disaster response capabilities, increase security stability in the region, and foster new and enduring friendships.
