Capt. Kevin Pham's parents fled Vietnam as refugees during the Vietnam War. They settled in California where Pham was born and raised. The struggle of his parents to escape persecution and start a new life in America is a story of courage and resilience, said Pham, and it instilled in him a strong work ethic and a respect for family and community. In addition to his wife and two children, Pham said he is passionate about serving his country, working with other Soldiers to accomplish missions, and making a positive impact in the world.
