U.S. Army Spc. Tristin Snodgrass, center, gives a safety brief to U.S. Marines with 3d Littoral Combat Team, 3d Marine Littoral Regiment, 3d Marine Division before helicopter operations as the final qualification test of a Helicopter Rope Suspension Techniques Master Course on Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Dec. 14, 2023. The course was led by HRST Master Instructors with III Expeditionary Operations Training Group, based in Okinawa, Japan, who travelled to Hawaii to certify Marines with 3d Littoral Combat Team. With the certification, HRST Masters can train Marines to safely and effectively perform helicopter insertions and extractions, rappels, and other rope techniques.
