Maj. Gen. Keith Waddell, adjutant general of the Louisiana National Guard, passes the 2nd Battalion, 199th Regiment (Regional Training Institute) colors to incoming commander, Lt. Col. Kenneth Paul during an official change of command ceremony at LANG Training Center Pineville in Pineville, Louisiana, Dec. 2, 2023. Over the years, the 199th Regiment has evolved to support the needs of the Army and the Louisiana Army National Guard. The Regiment now trains active duty, Reserve and National Guard Soldiers under its two battalions.
