An EA-18G Growler from the U.S. Navy’s Air Test and Evaluation Squadron Nine (VX-9) banks sharply as it performs a carrier break over Naval Base Ventura County Point Mugu in Southern California, returning from a training mission over the Point Mugu Sea Range on Aug. 9, 2023. A carrier break is a standard pattern that pilots fly when approaching an aircraft carrier for landing.
